State Senate District 24 Candidate
I am a fifth generation farmer born and raise in the Dayton area. I have been heavily active in public service my entire life. This pattern of public service began in my life with my involvement in 4-H and private schooling at Community Christian School in Fort Dodge. After graduating public high school in 2003 at Southeast Webster, I stayed home to farm and help take care of my grandmother as her health was declining. Around the age of 23 I joined my Webster County Farm Bureau board and have been a part of that ever since. At the age of 27 I was elected to the Dayton Rodeo and Celebration Committee and at 28 became the youngest chairman in Dayton Rodeo history which spans over 80 years. I served in various positions during my time there in whatever position I felt I was needed most. After my time on the Dayton Rodeo board I decided to return to the private school of my childhood and teach Bible. That was the same time that I decided to go fulfill my college dreams that I didn’t get to experience in my early 20’s and started studying online through Emmaus Bible College and Iowa Central Community College. When Senator Behn announced his retirement it was brought to my attention that running for this seat might be what the Lord has shaped me for. After much time of thinking and prayer I knew that jumping into this primary race was exactly what I needed to do to help bring about conservative solutions for the various issues challenging our district. I have been transformed to be a confident conservative Christian. I can use this confidence and boldness to connect with all the voters of this district with truth and grace. God has uniquely shaped me to connect with all of our citizens and I would be honored to represent you ! Thank you for your consideration of voting for me.
